Biografia
Joseph Gilgun è nato il 9 marzo 1984 a Chorley, nel Lancashire, in Inghilterra. È un attore che è apparso per la prima volta in Coronation Street (1960) quando aveva solo dieci anni. Più tardi divenne noto attraverso Valle di luna (1972) e il film This Is England (2006).
