Find people who share your taste in movies

Cinemova builds a taste profile from what you watch and love. Every day, Global Discover brings you the 2 movie lovers from anywhere in the world who match it best: see the films you share, follow them and find new titles in their lists.

How it works

1

Add your taste

Mark at least 3 titles you've watched, loved or want to watch; your taste profile is built from them.

2

2 new matches every day

Each match shows a match score, the titles you share and the genres you both love. Nobody is suggested to you twice, and new matches arrive the next day.

3

Follow them

Follow the profiles you like: instantly if the account is public, with a request if it's private. What they watch shows up on your home page.

You're in control of your privacy

Only public profiles of members with at least 3 titles appear in Global Discover. A match card shows your name, username, photo, country and the titles you share; your city only if you've made it visible. In Settings you can stop appearing in Discover, make your account private, remove followers and block people.

FAQ

How is the match score calculated?

From the titles you share and how much your favorite genres overlap. The more movies and shows you have in common, the higher the score. No city needed: matches come from members all over the world.

Why 2 people a day?

Instead of a long list, we pick the two people who match you best each day. People you skip stay in your past matches, so you can still follow them later.

What if I don't want to appear in Discover?

Turn off “Show me in Global Discover” in Settings: you won't appear in other members' matches, and you'll keep seeing your own. Private accounts never appear in Discover.

Can I send messages?

Messaging is coming soon with the Android and iOS apps. On the web you can follow people and see their profiles and public lists.
