Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Demetria McKinney is an acclaimed actress and R&B singer best known for starring as Janine Payne on the long-running sitcom Tyler Perry's House of Payne. Beyond her extensive television and stage acting credits, she is a trained vocalist who released her debut studio album, Officially Yours, in 2017.
